    When it comes to making/recreating certain Japanese songs (well known ones like this one), it's called a MAD.

                Isn't a MAD what japanese people call AMV ?

                Not sure though.

                Song sucks big time btw. No matter on what instrument you play it, it's just awfully bad and that comes from someone who likes Touhou's melody.

                    Okay in retrospect a lot of people think Marisa in any form is a crappy song to begin with, but the point of the thread was to show the variety and parodies of the original song, not to bash and point out that you hate it no matter it is lol

                        AMV's are just clips of anime content with any given song, usually unrelated to the anime itself.

                        MADs are of several categories, but "Unison MADs" are vocal samples and noises altered to follow a given song of japanese origin. In North America with American content, these are called YTPMVs.
