    I own a 160 GB slim, and that works fine for me. I might suggest an older model since they are cheaper now and backwards compatible with PS2 games. It doesn't really matter what size the the HD is since it can be replaced, but make sure it is large (memory can vanish very quickly). If you go looking for an old model to play PS2, double check online since some of the old models had the feature removed.

        go with a ps3, i own the 120gb slim and it works fine for me, never ylod'd or anything

                        I'm more used to dealing with Ebay, but here's a link to what's labeled as a 60GB.

                        There were also some 80GB and 40GB models that are compatible, but since the products aren't sorted by model numbers it would be best to approach cautiously.

                        To make sure that you find the right model, I would suggest reading this. I will also suggest that since all the backwards compatible models have small hard drives that you buy a new one that has at least 100GB. It may not be necessary if you don't need to install much data (game data, movies, music). You can put the replacement in at any time, so data transfer and setup won't be a problem.

                            On second thought, backwards compatibility isn't a huge deal to me. I can just use a PC emulator if I really cared, haha.
