You have to be careful in how you define 'nice guy'. Most of these supposed nice guys don't know how to treat a woman, are passive, clingy and lack confidence.
From experience, there are plenty of women out there that like 'nice guys', and I'm defining nice guys as a man that treats a woman with love and respect. Nothing else. You generally need to be assertive and full of confidence if you want to have an easy time with women, and you generally don't want to appear clingy.
This, however, doesn't mean you need to be an asshole. Again, from personal experience, taking this too far in the asshole direction ends up getting attention from the wrong type of women. Sure, there are women for these types of guys, but they're probably not the kind of women you want if you're suffering from the nice guy complex in the first place.

This 100%
Although the video is enjoyable and somewhat funny I can't agree with it at all. Being nice will actually take you a really long way. It's the 'weaknesses' (if you will) that Reach mentioned above that'll drag you down.
Most self-proclaimed nice guys are anything but nice. The kind of person who is too chicken shit to take what he wants is usually the type of person who lacks a backbone, never stands up for himself, is never decisive, is overly fawning/clingy, drips with insecurity, and handles confrontation is a very passive-aggressive way. They're manipulative bastards. They're dishonest.
I don't like calling myself a "nice guy" for this reason -- there's a stigma attached to the term that's associated with "being a doormat." I think it's better to simply call yourself "assertive" as a healthy middle ground between being a spineless "nice guy" and a rude, arrogant, selfish asshole. It's about being respectful to others while setting boundaries and sticking up for yourself.
Being an ass only works with insecure girls who feel the need to prove themselves to you. It's great if all you want is sex -- but a relationship? Run awayyyyy.
This is kind of true. Thing is, there is a real art to being a bad guy. :P If you're just a completely douche then it's not gonna attract anybody, it has to be done right. xD Wish I could explain it better.
Depends on what you mean be nice guys. Usualy, nice guys tend to shit in their pants without doing anything because they are shy. That's why they finish last. I know, I was like that. Until, I decided to change. I still don't score with women but at least I'm making steps in the right direction.
Teasing and playing around while showing a girl respect is possible and that's the kind of nice guy that ends up finishing first.
From personal experience, I'd have to say this is false. Only because it's working out perfectly for me at the moment.
THIS.
I think it's true nice guys finish last, but they'll finish ahead when they get there.
It's mostly because high school girls have a low maturity level. They'll go out with more popular guys even if they treat them worse than a nice but less popular guy would. Once they mature enough (likely around grade 11-12) they'll actually pay attention to the guys that have been there for them all along and will care more for them after realizing the've set them aside for so long.
Also, this song is catchy as hell. xD
