I think flaming noobs is promoting a negative attitude and image for the community. I think arguing with "the intelligent" people sounds like he does it for fun without real purpose, and not for a serious discussion.
When has who's thread it is really meant anything to most of you? You guys got into arguments and flame wars on a memorial thread for Monoc, so don't any of you come down and lecture me on what is proper and what is not. You can counter with 'but i didn't join in it', however, by not saying anything to discourage it you are a part of the problem by silently promoting it as accepted behavior.
the lack of good will and positive attitudes on these forums are a reflection of the community, so a loss of a member who partakes in such actions means little to me.
Just think of how much better the community would be if you were more helpful to newbies, because we were all noobs once. Or did you just forget that? So what if they don't get it? Some people just don't know as much as others.
A negative attitude portrays that we don't want them here, and you all have yet to realize that whether you want them here or not, it doesn't matter what you think at all.
WE, the site admins want them here, because we want as many people as possible to enjoy the game and everything that is offered with it. So if you all really respected Synth, myself, any of the site admins or anyone involved with the game, you would make a stronger effort to make this community better.
If you want my sympathy, then perhaps you should consider doing something that would benefit the community instead of making us look bad.Comment

I don't flame newbies. I go out of my way to help them out. I made a thread telling people I'd make them avatars from video games sprites I've ripped, and answered to at least a few people how to put up an avatar because of that thread. I've sent private messages to pretty much every single person that's posted about how they were extremely depressed or just that life was being really sucky for them. When people are being general assholes to those undeserving, I stand up and defend them.
