Anything that's relaxing to the mind, straightforward through the song, upbeat and catchy.

General: Ones that pleases me, of course; Concrete examples, defining what I REALLY like: Breaks, huge experimentalism, in many senses, from lyrics to melody, weird time signatures and high speeds.

Annoying vocals, like screamo, repetitivity (Seriously, go to Hell if you say that Breakcore is repetitive), music like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha do.

Yes. One example is Psychadelic, who's, in Brazil, a popular genre and 90% of the, attention to quotes, "fans" are steroid boys, who just listen to this good genre just to have an excuse to fill their asses with mets and ecstasy.

Depending of what I'm listening, I start to get meh when the band becomes too popular. I don't think any of you would be want to be related to dumb people.

Honestly? Yes. Breakcore is a genre that has few fans yet, it's "hard" to listen, like Classical music often is, and it's related to good/excellent music, and shows some incredible creativity from the artists, so yes, I think I have a good taste in music.

I came from Linkin Park and Dance music at the age of 8~11 to Psychadelic at the age of 12~14; Speedcore and Death Metal bands (I still listen to them) at the age of 15~16, and since I was still 16, Experimental music (i.e. IDM, Glitch and Breakcore). More recently, Hip-Hop and Dubstep.

I'm pretty open to everything and it switches from day to day. I can listen to techno for days on end, I can listen to rock days on end, I can listen to classical music days on end, etc. I will not pick a favorite child.

Anything that can is just pleasing to my ears and no matter how many times I listen to it, it never gets boring. I listen to a hodgepodge of music. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and the like, the oldies but goodies, music from the, 80s, 90s, classical...I know these aren't that specific of examples. Though I've grown up with music from 2000+, I can't find any songs that really stand out, unless it was recent. A year from now I won't even remember what was close this time period...it just seems a blur to me, unfortunately.

1b. How about bad music?
Anything that I cannot listen to more than 20 times before getting sick of it. It's not necessarily bad music...but it takes true talent to be able to create a song and not have their audience never get tired of it, ever. That's amazing...or maybe I'm just weird.

I try my hardest not to be. If you link me to a rap song, I'll listen to it. If you link me to a country song, I'll listen to it. I have, however, been biased against some music genres because of a bad one-time experience with it. I've surprised myself so many times when I've given them another chance and learned to rid the bias.

What’s the point in that? Fans can be generalized maybe but they’re people. People are unique, no?

The whole Beiber/Gaga thing is not talent at all, that rap/hip-hop is for gangsters, etc.

I used to be a song-by-song judge for artists and I’ve surprised myself. Oh, this song is by that band who I’ve hated for another song? Really?? Yeah, I’ve learned to try to listen to as many songs by an artist I can get a hold of before making a judgment.

Of course. It’s a part of who I am.

Yes. When I was a kid I wanted to be a cowboy. I was unhealthily obsessed with the West and all of that and would only listen to country music and nothing else. I’d throw a tantrum in the car if my parents changed the station to something else.

I consider music good when the artist is conveying their emotions or story thru the music or songwriting and I can feel the emotion they are trying to portray. Music is GREAT when the artist has portrayed their emotion(s) so vividly thru the music you can visualize it in your mind (think escaping reality). If that makes sense...

1b. How about bad music?

Hmmmm....I am generally a fan of all music as long as I can tell the artist has put thought and work into the song. I am NOT a fan of songs that lack emotion and are just used to convey senseless logic and idiocy to the listener. Also if the producer/artist himself does not have passion for the music it generally shows and makes it an automatic turn-off for me. (EX: Ke$ha's Dinosaur, MOST but NOT all joke deathcore/screamo bands, alot of auto-tuned pop-punk stuff, etc.)

2. Are you biased against some genres because of the fans they tend to attract?

Not at all. As a fan of pretty much all music I love to see fans of any genre and how they act/dress as well as their outlook on other genres. Clothes are just clothes to me and I can respect anyone's fashion sense. Also no specific genre attracts rude people so it's all good.

No, everyone has separate likes/dislikes and being a fan of a genre doesn't mean you have to act like everyone else. It isn't a forced groupthink zone. I used to be quite a scene kid but I never partied or did drugs and what not. My point.

Scene Kids/Country rednecks/gangster hip-hop fans are the main ones in my area.

Hard to describe really. FOR ME, good vocals, being a master of the instrument that each member of the band or soloist plays, composition, complexity of the song (can be the same simplicity that some band uses that makes a song complex and abstract which makes it perfect), sound quality, a band that sounds flawless live, emotion and passion transmitted through a song and that you actually feel it, and classical music. It's hard to tell really lol. Like Immanuel Kant once said ''There are two things that don't have to mean anything; one is music, the other is laughter''.
1b. How about bad music?
Again, for me bad music is lack of passion, no skills at all, reggaeton (I hate it with a passion), meaningless lyrics, monotony, anything commercial really (it practically sums everything bad)

I do. I mean, not most people like idk Rush maybe (to say something), you know the reactions of some people about progressive. OMGZORS a 20min song that is so boring, etc. When in reality the level of composition of such songs are in a whole different level, that fortunately some of us do appreciate. The same applies to classical music. I also enjoy post-rock, idm, breakcore music which is under appreciated. People should start being more flexible and keep an open mind insted of listening to keysha or some shit.
