lol i'm probably one of the few people who cares about sports on here, yeah madison bumgarner is a badass. pitched great. i'd rather the rangers win the series but it's not going to happen. series is about to be 3-1 giants. they probably take in 6

I'll be a good sport about it, he pitched great. Some of the home plate umpires calls were a little iffy (like they are in every game,) and Elvis Andrus CLEARLY beat out that double play in the 6th inning and got called out by the first base ump.

I find Ron Washington's methodology behind choosing relief pitchers very disagreeable. Your starting pitched should be able to see 27 plate appearances, that's the amount of outs it takes to end a game, however of course there are going to be a few walks and a few hits and maybe one hit-by-pitch. 27 appearances also means that every batter in the line-up has seen your pitches 3 times, which is right about the time where they can catch up to the pitcher.

Then you put in the relief. The OBVIOUS job of the relief is to prevent runs, but the Ranger's bullpen couldn't quite do that. Ron Washington took this into consideration in games 1 and 2 when the Giants scored a combined 20 runs. When the relief couldn't prevent runs, he switched pitchers. When the 3rd pitcher couldn't handle it, he would make another switch. Big mistake. This allowed the Giants to see EVERY pitcher in the Rangers bullpen by game 4.

Instead, I would have just swallowed it down, focus less on loss prevention and more on getting hits and getting some runs on the board. There's no point in trying to save something that will clearly be lost if your team can't hit when it's crunch time.

ah, i did get to see the bad call on elvis andrus. any time your team produces less hits than the other team produces runs it's pretty much series over. i was generous though and gave them until game 6 to lose the series.

Yeah, what I said already for my prediction is already null, so my guess is as good as anyone's, but even if the Rangers lose, I'll still be glad the World Series wasn't the same old Yankees-Phillies battle we've been seeing for the past 4 years or so.

You mean Rangers winning 4 straight? I would only have bet that if the first two games were in Arlington so they could have a little winning streak going into San Fran.

At the All-Star break I was expecting it to be Padres and Rangers, but San Francisco has always been my favorite NL team, so I'm happy with whoever wins. Kinda like Bengie Molina.

Well I wished the Rangers would have won but I have to say incredible job by the giants pitching staff.
