    Re: Windows 7 Beta

I've had Windows 7 64bit running for the past couple days, and there's no way I can be happier. It's sleek, stable, FAST, and overall really tidy. The new taskbar grouping is extremely helpful, especially for people like me who do a lot of music/art type projects and require multiples windows and folders up at all times. Dreamscene is way more fun than it should be. Aero Peek is super helpful, and Aero Shake is just plain fun.

Did I mention it supported all of my hardware and software from XP 32bit? In fact, I plugged in some new stuff that doesn't even have Vista drivers and it installed on its own, working flawlessly.

Before you go on and on about how much a new OS sucks, make sure your computer actually has the power to run it smoothly, not to mention you should really sit down and mess with it. I've liked it phenomenally over Vista (not to say Vista was bad, at least, 64bit) and am looking forward to having it for the next couple years until Windows 8 comes out.
put on a donk on it

Emo Saur never told us what he bought two weeks ago that can't play FFR.

Exactly how resource intensive has FFR become since I stopped playing years ago?

My laptop cost about $150 more and it has less memory, but it seems better.

This but blue and 250GB instead of 320.

So it turns out Intel GMA integrated graphics chips often don't update drivers correctly unless you do this:

Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> GMA whatever -> Driver tab -> Update driver

According to wikipedia, those drivers help a lot with flash video and web page scrolling. If you haven't already jumped ship for tinyXP you might wanna look into this.

NFD, if you're on W7 this applies to you too. You and emo are using the same GMA.

EDIT: well, you guys are on GMA 4500MHD and this issue is under GMA 500 but it's worth looking in to anyway. Can't hurt.

I haven't downloaded 7 yet because I don't have an external to put my stuff on and I have things I couldn't get back.

Well, the drivers were out of date.
