it's not a cure. it's the closest thing to a cure and it's very risky too.

It has been proven that one person did get cured from this. So, in essence, it's a cure. It's not as distinct as YOU may think, but none the less, it's a cure. (Whatever the complications and risks are, if someone was eradicated from the disease, it's a cure.)

i'm looking at the last paragraph of wiki and it says that the virus could eventually emerge from wherever it was hiding. i would say the patient was more relieved than cured. im not downplaying this because this IS HUGE.

not really close. just freak accident + bone marrow transplants are very risky + you can't do it unless the bone marrow is already completely ****ed. it's just interesting is all. a step in the right direction. but no "cure."
