hmm that doesn't bug me as much as when my mom's boyfriend says irregardless when he means to say regardless ugh its a double negative and it bugs the living hell out of me

People use it subconsciously because it makes them think that they're smart. For example, the United State's 43rd president did this often, saying words like "misunderestimated" to seem more intelligent to the public.

I honestly have never heard anyone say irregardless before. In fact, I didn't even realize such a mistake was prominent until recently. I can't see how one would wind up making that mistake - irregardless doesn't even sound natural.

I don't know why hes says it or how he started using it it just bugs me worse than anything else even when prissy blond chicks with too much makeup on say like all the time (that bugs me a lot)
