Something similar was happening to me earlier, but not exactly the same thing. I was actually hearing the menu music from FFR. I think what happened was an ad/picture was being loaded from the FFR server, but since it wasn't there it was just forwarding the frame to FFR the game. So the page wasn't redirected, just the frame containing the ad (so I could barely notice there was an issue).

I don't see ads (not full page ones that is)? Might just be luck though. I see small ones at the top, but that's about it.

Anyhow, I hate that music glitch thing. You know how annoying it is to have TWO of those playing at the same time? Yeah >_<

I personally just subscribe and don't have to deal with it.

I do a double subscription. FFR accidentally started charging me monthly in addition to yearly, and I left it that way because I'd rather support FFR.

I suggest some of you do the same. It's not that expensive, though I won't preach at you. /shrug

HEY! Wow.. I haven't played FFR in so long... they changed the menu music eh? THAT'S actually the music I was hearing, was the new menu music. (Okay I don't know whether it's NEW, but, it's new to me, I haven't played in several years.)

So it's a glitch... not an ad... good to know.

I just got it RIGHT NOW on THIS PAGE that I'm writing on. lol.

I've been subscribed before (other people bought me subscriptions) and honestly, I didn't really use it much... I thought I would... but I didn't even notice the lack of ads, and I didn't use any of the other features except the custom title. And who cares about that really.

It's not worth it for me. I'd rather buy a sack of potatoes each month and keep EATING.

You think those of us that subscribe do it for the special features? No! We do it to support a site that couldn't stay afloat without us. Of course the custom title isn't worth $5, but knowing that the game will be up and running next month is.


Anyways:

Here's me beef.

I used to have those problems all of the time. ALL OF THE TIME. And i would get redirected and hear things, and get pissed. Then organism convinced me to subscribe, and bam, the problem is gone. How do you think synth makes any money off of this? Its certainly not from my $4 a month. Its from the ads. I pay my service to FFR in cash, you pay yours in ads. Get it? Got it?

hey pompous mcsucksowndick, the site ran fine without ads years ago

the only reason the cost to maintain the site is so high is because of the giant flux of people who aren't worth keeping around (see: profiles)
