Peace Sells is a popular song, but once again, I don't think that song is representative of Megadeth's best work either.
Overall, I am a fan of early Metallica before And Justice For All. I didn't like And Justice at all, or anything that came after that, really. Regarding Megadeth, I'm a fan of their first five studio albums, and I did like The System Has Failed, which they put out in 2004 or 2005, I don't remember the year.
For me, Megadeth > Metallica.
Didn't Mustaine write most of the early metallica stuff? Which makes sense for people who like Megadeth more than Metallica.
You shouldn't talk down to people you don't know anything about, acting like you know more and then try to show them up in the forum. That's how you get absolutely no where.

Say what you will, but both bands are very much within the same vein. I like both, though I in particular enjoy the mid-80's Metallica. I think a debate over which is better is kind of funny, particularly because of their shared history and similar taste/sound. I know people will whine at me for that, but it's true.
Nay, nay, my friend. The huge difference between Metallica and Megadeth is that Megadeth put out consistently good music for a lot longer than Metallica.
And yeah, Solid Dreams, Mustaine had a hand in Kill 'Em All, and a small part in RTL.
And simply by the way they act, Metallica's gotten on my bad side.
"They're stealing MONEY from us, we're rich as hell but the people who listened to our stuff and told others it sucked are KILLING us!"
One of my friendsish used to be a caterer and he'd do concerts and stuff, and the first thing that Metallica would ask about was how much they made off of concessions/t-shirts/etc.
I know it's not supposed to be part of the equation but that irritates me.
