Back on topic, in Canada here we got a pretty small wind/thunderstorm, no damage done really though.

Sitting close to Cape Caneveral (about 10 min drive) and NOTHING, not even a little bit rain yet.

Well, I'm in Florida (Deltona) and the only thing that has so far affected us was Fay. During that we had a little bit of water (not like super flooding or anything, just a little saturation) coming up in the carpets by the front door.

well i live in bellaire, which is in the southwest part of houston, and nothing too bad happened, i was up pretty late last night though, because i kept hearing the house getting hit with the wind and creaking, and then there was this news report of downtown houston, and they were showing files blowing out of a business building, and then they pan down, and there is this vortex forming, it was crazy, it was probably made of lots of water and broken glass, and my neighborhood is fine, except lots of leaves everywhere, across the street a tree fell and a fence fell... thats it

but the wood protecting my windows looks curved, because i guess the rain was coming so hard it soaked and bent the wood

Gas went up fifty cents overnight. Five gastations are without gas. Yay!

Edit: Myrtle Beach, we didn't even have any direct effects from any of the storms.

My town got hit with a tornado last night..lost power for about half a day.

And gas prices have gone up. WHY DOES EVERYTHING BAD HAPPEN TO ME D:

I am directly affected by Hurricane Ike. I live in Seabrook which has gotten significant flooding. I live on the west side on SH-146 and the majority of the massive flooding has happened on the east side on SH-146.

Me and my family left the house at 1:40pm CT on Thursday and arrived in Brenham, TX (northwest of Houston) at 5:40pm CT. 95% Of the time, The Weather Channel and Fox News was on the TV. I also stayed up and watched Hurricane Ike make landfall at around 1:20am CT on Galveston.

Me and my family are heading back home tomorrow (Sunday) - even though we were told not to and we don't have power. We have to protect our property. We intend on buying a generator so that we can have some power in the house.

Take care and be careful if you are in the future path of Ike and its remnants.

Meh. I don't care. Dunno when I'm going back to school anyways.

Areas near the coast of Harris and Galveston County that face Galveston Bay got the worst of a storm surge. Seabrook and Kemah are the hadest hit areas.
