                                    The real reason was just too hard for Russia to publicly admit. The real reason is the Eurovision Song Contest.

                                    Their song was about hating life and how their boyfriends didn't understand their Russian principles. Ended up 3rd.


                                    2008 - DIMU RETURNS



                                    LOOK AT THESE GUYS. NO GOTH, NO EMO. TOTALLY HAPPY AND HIPSTER. THESE GUYS WON EUROVISION 2008. NOT A DROP OF BLOOD WAS SHED.

                                    As such Russia realised they needed to get rid of all emo and goth people and proposed this ban. They hope it will mean they will win all future Eurovision Song Contests.

                                        FFR isn't really an Emo thing I don't think...
                                        Couldn't you also just use a proxy or something like people do in countries that block myspace or youtube?
