Shut up, Chilly. Pretend you're looking through your telescope one night, and you see a huge meteor the size of Texas coming toward the Earth that for whatever reason nobody's noticed, and after doing all of the tedious math you realized it would hit in 24 hours. What would you do?

Um...no. If a meteor the size of texas hit, say, the US, here's what would happen. First there would be a gigantic nuclear explosion, taking out most of North America. The dust would take about five years to settle, during that time we would have no sunlight, and all the plants would die, completely destroying the ecosystem. After that (if we were still alive) we would have a nuclear ice age for the next (estimating) 20 years or so. Trust me, humans wouldn't survive a blast like that.Comment
