I was almost sure it was Futurama.

The story goes like this in The Twilight Zone: This book worm nerd never has time to read books, so when a nuclear bomb goes off while he was in a vault, he's the last man on Earth. So he goes to the library, trips and breaks his glasses so he cant read.

In the Futurama (or Family Guy, whatever), he says something like, "Oh well, at least can at least read braelle (or however you spell it) and starts reading with his fingers like blind people. And then his hands fall off and he's like, NOOOOO!!!
