I forget where in the bible it says that one day (our time) is equivalent to a million years to god. Like you said, it may sound absurd but think of it this way, god has been living for like forever without beginning or end, therefore, wouldn't you think "he" would look at time like nothing?

Besides, Kekeb, I grew up going to a Catholic school in Rhode Island. They never directly taught ethnicity other than the obvious **** a school teaches.

Ok sorry poor phrasing and I just kinda sucked when I posted it. The fact that it was created in X days isn't what God said or what God 'needed to have said,' but is more for OUR needs. We say that because we need order as part of human nature. rzr, you have to remember that time is a simply man-made concept. Whether you believe in god or not, God has no concept of time. He simply "exists". If god said he made it in a "day" it is simply a measure he is using to relate to a man's sense of time. Man in our infinate wisdom took this measure later and said "Hey we are calling a day 24 hours".Originally posted by rzr

Atheism isn't a religion. Its just what religious people categorize people that don't believe in their religion. Atheism isn't a group and there is no way to generalize it because they don't follow the same anything. All in all. Religion is irrelevant to me.

The bible says God created the earth in six days and its inhabitants. However, if time is a concept theorized by man that makes god himself a human, despite the fact that we are created in his image, because he is using the concept of time before the alleged creation of man.
Perhaps man created God before the idea of God creating man even existed? Not to make reference to the obvious points that humans invented the bible and its stories, etc, but that possibly before there was the theoretical aspect of God there catally was man. And I mean that as if the bible were true.

The story of the world being created in 7 days was created by the Jews. All Christianity did was make God more benevolent and made jesus christ a prominent figure.
