      I see.
Yeah, I just don't find the appeal in that. It just sounds bad to me.
But to each his own, eh?

          rock blows everything..
at least the new stuff does.. older stuff from when people actually could play and sing was great like ac\dc and led zepplin

i listen to pure techno.. and i mean real techno
none of this ddr crap or (sorry to say it but) SGX and others etc.. its fun to listen to everyonce in a while and its a different style.. but you dont see professional people making weird techno like that
toby emerson makes the best non-professional techno thats out there to my knoledge.. rage iss up there too.. his stuff is really close to the stuff i listen to the most. I listen to alot of techno.. i have over 3500 songs now and i know what makes a good techno song. i just dont find any of the stuff ffr incredible.. but just because i dont like em doesnt mean that they suck or anything.. sgx is incredible at producing songs and such as well as jewpin. thier stuff just isnt my style

i listen to electronica , happyhardcore , techno , some industrial , trance and rarely some speedcore

dont be a biggot asshole and flame me for having my own opinions.. i dont flame you for like rock or sgx and others so dont flame me for not liking em

I'll agree with you on most counts, but the limited good bands there are are really really good. For instance, Tool. I suggest that you or anyone else that hasn't heard them try them out. Really really good music. (make sure you don't just get one song, or if you do, get a good one like lateralus, stinkfist, pushit...)

for those of you who are saying that their are no good rock bands, you have never been to the jersey shore. the music here is amazing, and this is one of my favorite bands. please take the time to listen and tell me what you think

I don't like when people say things like
"all old music is bad/good," or
                    "all new music is bad/good."

The fact is there's a bajillion different bands playing different styles in different ways that exist currently, and a bajillion different bands of the past as well.

I mean, don't just categorize everything new as bad, just because it exists now, and vice versa.

Plus, "rock" is probably the broadest musical genre.

Dream Theater rules. The reason nobody's ever heard of them is because they're not mainstream at all...but they are amazingly talented. The drummer is one of the most talented drummers in the world, and that's not an opinion either- he can do a 360 drum spin while beating with his feet, and only two or three people in the world can do that. Beyond that, the singer is awesome, and they only have one guitarist, but it sounds like they have at least two.

The coolest part of their music is that it actually has a point- they're not another lost soul out there pretending to be a Nhilist for the shock value and make a quick buck. Their best CD, "Scenes from a Memory" is a play, it's a murder mystery. You have to listen to the whole CD, and each song is a new act in the play. In the last song you find out who murdered Victoria, your sister (or wife, I'm not sure). I highly recommend you d/l or buy some of their stuff, they're so cool (assuming you can look past the somewhat questionable keyboard player, I don't know why he's even in the band, honestly).

yeah they are really good, there was actually an incident a few weeks ago...

well they and some other local bands were playing, and the police got out of hand, and started beating, spraying, and arresting middle shcoolers and high schoolers. the crowd went nuts and everyone hates the police now

the funny part is it was an anti-drug event, and almost everyone had pot on them.
