I tried switching a few weeks ago. Ran into the whole ctl-x, ctl-c, ctl-v shortcut issue and couldn't find a fix.

Besides Dvorak there's colmak, which is supposed to fix some of the minor 'flaws' Dvorak has (position of the L key!?) while keeping x/c/v in the same place.

I also read somewhere that you can type the word typewriter all on the top row of keys on qwerty, and it was done for marketing reasons (lol).

QWERTY sucks but there's no way that i'd be able to use it all the time. I just use some adjusted finger's to help out some, but it still is very sucky.

The guy who came up with QWERTY also invented the typewriter. Probably was very egotistic.

My parents occasionally use the computer, and they said they'd kill me if they had to relearn Dvorak. I'll have to wait a year till I buy my own compy.
