    I was saying that the melody sounds familiar. That's entirely subjective, so what's there to debate about?

    And I said things as plainly and politely as possible, and it's up to somebody else to pull an Anger Management and tell me "CALM DOWN NOW" as I throw up my arms and say "Jesus effing Christ, what's wrong with you people? I am calm!"

            I know I can be far too hot-tempered sometimes, but that doesn't mean I'm a tool or I'm out to make trouble. It can be difficult to disagree with someone without them taking it personally, and it ends up spiraling downward from there once my temper takes over.

                It's a nice song and all. It seriously lacks diversity, though, which is usually needed for a good stepfile.

                Good job, but it's not really FFR material imo.

                    I agree, the song isn't a bad song, but it sounds more like loop music for in-game lobbies like the Chao World in Sonic Adventure 2, as opposed to something with variation.

                    I could go on and comment on the mix, but I'll just be yelled at for it, so I'll save my constructive criticism for those that are interested.

                            Well, first, I think it needs more variation. Another difficulty I have is with the samples you used. I'd personally explore a flowing synth sound instead of the piano, and swap out the bass sound for something more lush, like a bass with a synth bass layered onto it. Then I'd do away with the drums. Not necessarily with the beat, but the drum sounds. I'd go with a kick that's less boomy and make the hi-hat and snare sounds more shimmery and less staccato. And as a background you could have a soft synth pad running to give it some depth.

                            I would remake it for you as an example, but I'd have to set up my equipment all over again. :P

                                I think the kick sounds boomy because I put some bass in the kick. I messed up on that and I can't fix it because I didn't save it.

                                            They can sound like "hip-hop beats", yet still be clean. They can have a low-frequency response without being muddy like the one you used.

                                            And if I were you I'd use real drum samples and tweak them to what you like.

                                            And yes, other FFR songs have repetition, but your song is almost entirely repetition without much variation.
