Wow, like it took me this long to see your post. Ok, here's where I say 'wow you just shot down every game I listed'. You must be the hardest videogame critic in the world, man, if you think every one of those games sucks. GTA- say that GTA sucks to any PS2 owner and you'll get shot. The GTA series is the probably best selling series on the PS2, so obviously they're doing something right. I played Vice City. The only fun thing to do is cheat, and snipe people and blow up the cops. And really, you guys and your graphics. I have more fun playing...NES or Intellivision than some of today's games. Graphics shouldn't be a factor in how you rate a game unless they suck so much it actually affects your gameplay. As of last August, Gamecube sold a total of 9.4 million consoles worldwide. Xbox sold a round 13 million.
PS2 pwned both their asses with a whopping 51.2 million consoles sold. You want to see overwhelming stats? There ya go.

No Max Payne cause you can shoot people any day. I will say this, GTA and Halo are both highly overrated. Sure they are fun, but both do not deserve to be the center-piece of a console. They're are plenty of better games out there that offer more than just mindless violence. Ico for example.
A game which had no hype at all (compared to it's competitors GTAIII and Halo), and is still relatival unknown, was nominated in more categories than that of GTA III and Halo. And won more awards than Halo and the same amount as GTA III. Anyone who has played the game can agree that it is a beautiful game and thoroughly enjoyable. There are those who would even go as far as to say it is one of the greatest games they have ever played.
