We couldn't approach him. Bodyguards and school staff were pretty rough with students that got too close.

I met MJ at a charity event. I asked him to sign a napkin since I didn't have anything else for him to write on. Basically he said he didn't come for autographs and had security take me away. True story. Maybe he was just in a bad mood or something though.

When somebody famous comes to a charity event, they're usually there to be there. How do you pull people to come to a charity event? Get somebody famous, duh! He probably just came to be a presence.

Another thing: my school was literally packed. I mean packed. The school parking lot was full, and the adjacent (sister) school's lot was half full, too. There was only standing room when I got there, right as soon as the game started. Of course, the first home game of the major sports (football, basketball) at any high school will be packed, but I don't think that was the only reason.
