Oh, but the fun stories!

My friend worked at a Dillard's in the Northpark Mall in Dallas. Now, Northpark isn't like a normal mall. It has a complimentary concierge service, pagers they hand out so that if you are needed, they can find you, and if you have to rush to the airport they'll escort you in one of their own fancy cars. For the longest time there wasn't even a food court -- just really nice restaurants. This is supposedly a high-class shopping center.

So my friend was surprised one day while cleaning the fitting rooms in the section where she worked (swimsuits) to discover that someone had urinated on the floor in a fitting room and then covered up the puddle with expensive swimsuits.

I got stories from working retail, but nothing ever compared to hers.

First of all I didn't even know Little Ceasars were still around. All the ones by my house went out of business. Second of all I used to deliver pizzas. One time a party ordered 50 pizzas for delivery. I couldn't fit all of them in the front of my car after double stacking the bags (5 pizzas per bag) so I had to put some in my trunk. I drove to the place going about 20 MPH for fear of the pizzas sliding in the box. When I got to the house the bill was $683.87 (Including the $1.50 for the delivery charge) and she gave me $6.13 for my tip. The biggest delivery order in the HISTORY of our store and all for a horrible tip. It took me 20 minutes just to get the pizza from my car to their house.

First, Little Caesar's is awesome and still very much in business down here in Texas.

Well I worked at Hollister for a bit. Now this is a store that has to be kept "sharp". All the clothes have to perfectly folded and stacked neatly.

So go into a Hollister and just start going through all the clothes by taking them out and wading them up. Then nicely throw them back on the table or shelf. (Tip: Girl clothes are the worst, since the fabric is very thin, so do those) By doing this, it will make the people that work there have to re-fold all the clothes...which sucks.

The great thing about working at the college dining hall is that college students are apparently the most laidback people ever. If I worked at a public restuarant and some food item was out people would be like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU WHY ISNT THERE ANY FOOD but the college kids are just like "hey dude, is there any of this? I'm just wondering. I don't even want any, I just figured I'd let you know" and I'm like "oh yeah I'll get that brb". They never complain or anything, it's ridiculous.

The friggin cooks in the back are asshats, though. Part of my job is to tell them when we're running low on food so they know if they need to cook more. I do my freaking job and tell them "only 2 pans of whatever left!!" and they're like "DAMMIT NOAH I DONT WANNA COOK ANYMORE YOU ARE RUINING MY LIFE UGHHHHHHHH!!!" Hell, it's gotten to the point that some of the cooks start rolling their eyes and asking what I want as soon as I come back to the kitchen, even if I'm not getting something. And this one cook is always like "take it real easy on that thing, I don't wanna cook more" but I have yet to figure out what he means by "take it easy". Am I suppose to be like GUYS NO DONT EAT THAT IT'S POISON OMFG or what? I'll be getting a pan of food and he's like NOAH I SAID TAKE IT EASY and I just about have to yell at him I'M NOT THE ONE EATING IT YOU IDIOT.

Gahhhhhh he pisses me off. >_<
