That's really cool. =D I used to have a synthesizer until it died =( It was old anyway. I'm pretty sure it was Yamaha QY70, but I threw it away, so yeah. It held up pretty long though.

Heh, my friend brought his amp and his guitar, and I brought the keytar along with me. We were looking for a spot to play, since my school is utter **** and dosen't have any place to practice (absolutely no class for music, no instruments whatsoever). We decided to stop and play in a hallway that's not crowded (My school is rather small). So basically we started playing and some douchebag teacher told us to go away because she had to teach something (this was during the lunch break). So we were like "crap" and decided to find somewhere else to play. There were a lot of wires lying on the floor, and in haste I grabbed a wire that was sitting under my keytar (which was resting upwards or the wall). Result: my keytar fell, and a part of the first key broke. It still works fine, but the part that restrains the spring from pushing it too upwards is broken. Now I have to order a new peice and make it fix, which will take two weeks and cost 40$. At least I get to keep the keyboard while I wait, but I'm still rather pissed off. I also lost the owner's manual and the list of patches (sounds) I printed.

Really sucks. But at least everyone was "OMFG YOU HAVE A KEYTAR!!!". Heh, I'm such an attention whore.

So wait, the Keytar works by downloading sounds into it, right? Sorry, I'm not big on the technical mumbo-jumbo.

Heh. Not at all. You see, the keytar itself is just what they call a "controller". All it does is send a signal. The synthetiser is the actual 'instrument'. The controller sends the signal to the synth, which then produces the sound.
