ps: this is one of the stupider things i've ever heard. a vaccine to attack a hormone naturally produced by the body can't possibly work without serious side effects, it's stupid, and it's fucking lazy.

And you don't NEED to "cure" it if it isn't a problem.

The whole obesity epidemic is a completely exaggerated problem. Almost to the point of moral panic. It's bogus.

Only the very, very heaviest people (and the most skinniest people, of course) show any correlation between their health and their weight. It's much more likely that the weight is more of an indicator of a health problem and not the other way around.

But it's not a very good indicator because it varies so greatly between people and between races.

I wouldn't go so far as to say obesity isn't a "problem". Even if the number of obese Americans is exaggerated, one obese person has a problem that needs to be solved. The point is that if you can solve a problem with a lifestyle change, you shouldn't turn to drugs to fix it. It's like watching that "True Life: I'm Overweight." This ****head kid refused to eat healthy because he was convinced he could qualify for gastric-bypass surgery, and that would be his cure-all. If you can't change your own behavior, no amount of medical help will fix your problem.

I lost 10 pounds so far this summer. I put 5 back on lifting at the gym. I feel great.

PS: I hate running on treadmills

I am strange. I love running on a treadmill. I used to have a lot of problems with my shoulder when I ran, so I couldn't participate in team practices. Then I started running on a treadmill and didn't have problems.

Plus, it's air conditioned and enclosed and there are people around. I'm a spaz about running by myself outside.

Baylor does have the Bear Trail, which is an approximately 2.5 mile track around campus, and I walk my dog on that on the weekends.

In the summer I gain weight. I get back to school where there's a gym I can use for free, and I get back into shape.

Oh. Where I go it's really hot and sweaty in there. And there are like 40 other people in there on them. I tend to just use the stepper or this weird thing thats like a stepper but you are moving your feet forward and back.

If people used this drug, but continued to eat their fatty foods,
wouldn't this result in the amount of heart attacks going up?
People will think "Oh, I'm skinny now maybe I can go play some
soccer or something. But, not until i finish these three burgers."
Then they get out and start having fun, and then BAM! you're
DEAD! I think scientist are just plotting to kill us all slowly.
