Clemens pitched the 16th, 17th and 18th innings out of the bullpen to earn the win.

its funny because they pinch ran for Berkman (the slugger who hit the grand slam), and the pinch runner ended up hitting a walk off homer 4 or 5 innings later in the 18th XD

In other news, yankees and angels are going to a game 5, back in LA

And then the winner flies to Chicago the next day. Rough.

I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

THIS IS THE GREATEST PLAYOFFS EVER.

Seriously. Anaheim over the Yankees? Sure, I don't like the Yankees losing, but I'm really glad Anaheim won.

THEN! The Braves lose. As much as it gives me GREAT joy to see the Braves lose, it was topped by the fact that HOUSTON beat them. So great...

THEN! The Red Sox lose! Finding this out made me feel really warm inside because I reeeeeeally hate the Red Sox.

THEN! The Angels win game 1! Sah-weet!

Now, I realize, Houston still has to contend with the Cardinals, which is no easy feat, but to see an Angels/Astros world series would make my year.

I haven't kept up with this thread, cause 95% of you douches don't know a thing about baseball and are therefore not worth my time....

but, this pretty much sums up my feelings:

                        TasselFoot: wow.
TasselFoot: did you see the end to that angels white sox game?
                        mastr414: yea
                        mastr414: i'm sick
mastr414: and i'm not even an angels fan
                        mastr414: that's just disgusting though
                        TasselFoot: just... wow.
                        mastr414: that's absolutely sicekning
mastr414: but that last pitch hung so much
                        mastr414: i could've hit it
TasselFoot: 10 bucks says they impliment instant reply, at least for the post-season, next year.
                        mastr414: this coudl be big..
                        RIP

                          FUCK THAT SHIT!

That ball was CAUGHT! Not only that, but the pitch was ruled a strike and the batter was called out.

The Angels were robbed of Game 2.

And I agree. Angles/Houston would make my year. Most def.

I dont know about that call...but...if you look closely, you will see that the catcher got the dirt from the field at the time of "catching" the "strike." There is only a 50/50 chance that the catcher caught the ball or if the ball hit the ground.

The Astros should've won that game yesterday. The ump was calling strikes when the pitch was clearly below the knees and just above the ankles.

Hey NightSonnet, do u think I can go back into the chat room with the thread I have been keeping up with?

I think Erstad was calling for the ball while Molina was walking off the field(with the ball still in his hand)... I think it's possible he could have thrown it to Erstad for the out in time.
