RE: Re: RE: Anyone interested in an online D&D adventure

I've also picked up a "Dungeon and Dragons for Dummies" that appears to be an excellent manual for new players to learn rules, get helpful advice on feats, skills, and spells... and things of that nature. Its written by 2 long time TSR aurthors, not random people. I suggest that if you aren't CONFIDENT with your abilities to know the rules, you get this from me also.

Ok, I'm in. I'll roll up a brand new character, however I don't know any race specifics for Kender.

What level are we starting at and how many f-ups am I allowed before you get pissed.

By the way, I'm more of a roleplayer than a roll player. I hope you don't mind my characters. I tend to get really into them.

Q, the more everyone gets into their characters, the more realistic the experience is, the more fun it is.

I'll find some specifics for Kender for you.

This is the link to the pdf copy of the Player's Handbook. If you want to play, download this and READ IT.

Link to the D&D For Dummies book:

Read that if you really have no idea how to play D&D. It will be MUCH more helpful than the PH (but still read through the PH!)

OK.... It would appear that our campaign will start up, with Guido, Q, 180digi, and Kenzya. I'll be in touch with these people. My goal is to have all 4 of you rolled out this weekend, and next weekend we'll have our first quest.

If anyone else is interested in joining the campaign, you MUST contact me on AIM today.

RE: Anyone interested in an online D&D adventure?

I've never played D&D and, quite honestly, have very little idea of what it involves. I might set aside some time to do this, but I wouldn't know what was going on and it would make me nerdier than ever. That's not completely a bad thing, but I dunno...

somebody explain this to me (over AIM or in a PM so I can ask questions) or link me someplace with explainations that I can choose to read, plz plz.

EDIT: whoops, that's what I get for only reading the first page XD
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

yea.... i posted links to 2 downloads, the D&D for Dummies especially is 100% needed if you've never played before... contact me on AIM if you have any questions.

And remember eb... I'll be running the game, so you have to put up with me.

RE: Anyone interested in an online D&D adventure?

                    Hello there tasslefoot,

You don't know me, and I dunno you, but I've been trying to find an online D&D campaign for several months. Believe it or not the people in this town are so snobbish they won't let me play with them. They seem to have it convinced that because I have no experience, I won't make a good player. I have only this to say in relation to the topic: If I have no experience, how am I supposed to gain this much-needed experience if no one will give me a chance? So yeah, I'll just sit back, shut up and play. ^^

As a result of my long spells of non-playing, I have read the 3rd Ed. Player's Handbook cover to cover, and have quite a bit of it memorized. Also I have my own Monster Manual.

Anyways, you can find me on AIM as Frostbytev3.

                    Ciao,
                    Frostmo

Hmm. I have no actual DnD experience, though do have seven years of roleplaying under my belt, and I have recently started roleplaying Vampire: The Masquerade which is good fun since I get to roleplay a psychotic megalomaniac.

This could be fun though. I'll send a PM.

OK... Final list of players, based upon Experience, Wanting to learn, Quickness to respond, contribution to FFR, and my personal feelings on who would be best suited for the group.

                                Guido - Dwarven Fighter
                                Q - Kender Rogue
180digi - Human either Mage or Sorcerer
Kenzya - Unknown yet... likely either Elven Ranger or ? Cleric
                                purplepopcorn - unknown
                                Tokzic - unknown

You 6 should all get in touch with me this weekend to roll out your characters. First quest will be NEXT weekend. If you haven't already DLed the PH & D&D for Dummies, do so... unless you already have a copy of the PH and you have played D&D before and are CONFIDENT with your ability to know the rules and normal runnings of a game.

Again, any questions, contact me on AIM. Also, Tokzic, purplepopcorn, and Kenzya need to pick a race/class.... With 1 fighter, 1 semi-fighter, and 1 mage... your party needs 1 cleric, should have 1 long range fighter & scout (aka.. 1 cleric and 1 ranger)... and the 6th player really has no boundry for their race/class... another fighter-type would work or another semi-fighter... i wouldn't recommend a 3rd back-rank character.
