As far as I was concerned, doing that algebraically would have taken the same amount of time as doing it by trial and error. The latter was easier, so I chose that.

And Tokzic, the "some reason" for which you used the algebra was probably that you actually learned some math

That's the thing with IQ tests. If you've seen the type of question before/know how to do the type of questions they ask on these tests, you score higher. So they're kind of biased, not the greatest measurement of intelligence. Especially on some other tests where I've seen questions like 'which one doesn't belong in the group' and stuff that ends up being more of an opinion than anything sometimes XD

Reach/Guido... I did that problem in my head in about 25 seconds. And it was the 2nd thing I thought of to try for it. I forget what the 1st was.
