Tass is a sad boy... Tass is also the boy who got LD signed up on ET.

btefnet.org is also down, I'm assuming for the same reasons... although it is 100% NOT Illegal to download or upload TV Shows, considering the illegalities is getting someone for free that you aren't paying for. I pay for cable TV and CAN watch the TV shows. I choose not to and DL them instead. Just like if I own a CD I can legally download any track from it. And, btef only hosted TV Show files.

Like I said, torrent sites aren't illegal. They are getting shut down without knowing of their legality.

As Tass said, btefnet solely hosted things you would probably get with a cable line, therefore it is very likely you have cable television. So this site was hosting hash links to legal files. That's even more fun.

Squeek, although the sites themselves may not be doing anything illegal, you can't deny that most of the people who get most of the files are getting illegal materials. But they're getting them from other people, not the site, so the sites really aren't at fault.

And I'm not sure about the TV thing. Is it legal to tape shows that are on and watch them later? I know everybody does it, but I don't know if there are any rules against it. I mean, that does steal from sales of DVDs that contain a show's seasons, but...I dunno where I'm going with this.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

http://torrents.to I've found my home here since Suprnova was down, with this many trackers, you can't not find something you are looking for.

Fill me in on whether or not this is true, I'd be glad to know.

These torrent sites are here to host large files via torrents to that people can share large files easily. Is it true that the site is not responsible for the users' actions, since the program itself was made for legal purposes, and it is only the users who are uploading the pirated material?

I don't know the legal aspects of it all, but these websites only host "trackers", what the tracker does, is it tells people connected to it where the file is.
