In the hospital

I had an open heart surgery, and it took... 6 days.. to recover and come back home. And i once broke my fingers took 10 hours, Legs, 19 hours, hands 2 days, back 3 days... yeah.. and more... Ribs took.. 4 days.

I have never broken a bone. The worst I have ever had is 3 stitches across the bridge of the nose.

I had a boomerang, and it did what it was supposed to do.

When I was in the hospital I was there for 3 days. I ended up having 3 seizures in a row in my bathroom. Anyways the reason I stayed so long was because they had to do a lot of tests on me.

I will be in the hospital for at least 4-7 days because I was hit in the eye with the baseball (but I stayed to play ball) and in the wrist. I will need about 6 stitches (again. this is the second time its happen.) for my left eye and a cast for my wrist (it was fractured). I hope to be back by Wednesday and play some more ffr game and be back in the chat room.

Next time, try dodging the ball.

Holy shit, someone else who's been hit in the eye with a baseball. I was only at the hospital for a few hours but I was out of school for a week and a half because I got a hyphaema (eye filling up with blood) and had to let that heal.

And jewp, look directly at the middle of the sun and then try catching pop flys.

I must whole heartedly agree

you tend to lose sight of things when looking directly in the sun.

and when spherical projectiles are traveling at a velocity of 45+ mph, they tend to hurt.

My brother sprained his ankle by stepping on a tennis ball. It swelled to the size of a cantaloupe (sp?). He was only out for a few months though. Then he went out to play again and sprained his other ankle within two weeks, by playing basketball. Smart guy.

I shattered my elbow. Surgery, stiches, pins. Broke my ankle twice. Pins and surgey on that. Broken tibia, fibula, shin. Tore a hamstring, tore a quad.

Hockey, I think open heart surgery beats yours by a hair.

Shot once in the hip, once in the shoulder, once in the thigh, once in the hand. They were 7.62 mm bullets from a Kalashnikov rifle. All of them in 1968, all on the same day.

Looking back on it, it's hard not to laugh (neither I or my squad mates died or got hooked on drugs), but I recall that the bullet in the thigh hurt by far the most. It got wedged in my pelvic girdle, and most of it is still in there. It missed my organs, though.



I stayed in the hospital for quite a little bit of time, I assure you.

1968 sounds Vietnam, while the Kalashnikov sounds Russian, though I may be wrong.

1968 was Vietnam. It was the invasion of a certain key city and hub.

The Russians and the Chinese (particularly the latter) both supported the Viet Cong, and they gave members of their army weapons and supplies. The Kalashnikov is the AK-47. It was fairly commonly found in the hands of the North Vietnamese.
