I do really well after mowing the lawn or working out. But the only time I get my really good scores is when I don't pay attention at all. I just sit down and wing it, and end up breaking my record. It's wierd.
When do you play Stepmania?

I do the best right when I wake up after I do a quick warmup, most of the songs after that yield my best scores. The reason is that as the day goes on, my computer gets slower and slower until I restart. So actually, it's not when I wake up, but the first hour or so after the comp is turned on.

You were joking right? XDOriginally posted by Arch0wlI do the best after lifting weights because my hands feel lighter.
But really, I don't keep track of all this shit. I play whenever I'm totally bored and usually it's my last resort so it's random.
I can't play sm at all that day if I lifted weights X_X my arms are way too tired.
Yea, i can't play at all if im tired. I need to be well rested, and pretty bored to pull out good scores. If im not then im too lazy to replay stages.

I play randomly cause it's just when I'm bored and it normally lasts for like 10-20 minutes then I go do something else.
I do better in the morning though, like right after I wake up. Also if it's moderately warm temperature cause if my hands are cold I am a lot less capable with them(duh).Comment

No I wasn't joking O_o the tired/light feeling of my arms made hitting the arrows quickly such an easy task. I dunno any other way to explain it.Originally posted by ReachYou were joking right? XDOriginally posted by Arch0wlI do the best after lifting weights because my hands feel lighter.

Umm, I play SM whenever, but not much anymore. I'd rather make stuff for SM than play SM, honestly.
As far as when I do best, it's completely random. My entire DDR experience is completely random. My timing is very random, both within one song and from game to game. Like, I'll be ahead of the beat for a second, then behind, then I'll go too fast, then too slow, etc etc. If SM had a practice mode like DDR I'd be able to see how random my timing is, but I can't. And sometimes I can be friggin great, and other times I can completely suck. It helps if I'm really into it, like when I love the song.
Also, when I zone out I do the best. This happens more often when I'm kinda tired or staying up late, so unlike you guys, I do better when tired. Like, I'll completely stop thinking about the arrows and be hitting everything right on without trying. Like, the other day I was playing Diginity and I was actually hitting all the doubles for once and I got like a 200 combo and I was zoned out. Then all of a sudden I realized what I was doing and started paying attention and I immediately screwed up and failed yet again
I bet I'd do really good while high...too bad I don't do drugs :PSo I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment
