Elizabeth seems legitimately stupid while Geoffrey is obviously being sarcastic.

That radar, guys. Turn it on.

Calvin in the comic of Calvin and Hobbes does this too. ^.^
Nothin wrong with that at all. The problem is when it comes down to honking at other people for making their food scream.

On the contrary I strongly believe fruit loves to be eaten. It produces such delicious natural sugars and stuff all juicy and happy to accelerate your health, same with most vegetables.

Calvin and hobbes adapts that mentality like any other kid would though, that healthy food they don't want to eat is monstrous and torture to eat.

All in all they're greatly misinterpreting a transfer of energy as a release of agony which is silly

Re: Humanity has hit a new low

Vegetarians/vegans are pretty much the only people who are consistent with their morality regarding animals though. So many people rage at videos of slaughterhouses who don't give a fuck when they're actually eating the meat that comes from that slaughterhouse.

One time I beheaded a deer and ate its brains as salsa dip. The deer had been shot in the head beforehand. We stored the parts we couldn't eat for food; this was while hunting. I ordered the previous sentences in order of how "shocking" they are because I am sure this strikes some people as outrageous. Yet, millions of people watch shows like Bizarre Foods where the guy eats brains/testicles/other weird body parts without any kind of moral outrage.

There's a disconnect between the food you eat and where it comes from. I'm recalling this video in particular, which pretty much enraged the internet. Every time I engage people who aren't vegetarian yet outraged at this sort of thing, I get some "but it's not used for food!" response. So then I can kill as many animals in as heinous of ways as I want as long as it's to feed my gluttony? Somehow I don't think that's the whole story and that this is really selective morality.

Speaking of inconsistencies, a lot of people care a lot about small and cute animals like bunnies, dogs, and cats, and if someone harms one of these animals these people become very sad and upset. However, if these people see an insect or fish being killed, they don't care at all.

On the bright side, at least these people care about some selective animals.

Vegetarians tend to be extreme hypocrits in my eyes. Their reason for not eating meat usually comes down to "it's immoral to do this to living creatures who have feelings etc.", but at the same time they don't mind eating eggs or drinking milk and all those other things; all of which may have done harm to the animals it all came from, too. If you do it, you should go all the way. Just my two cents.

Also, fruits typically want to get eaten, because naturally, when birds do, they spread the seeds. There's a reason why they are often a bright colour.

In other words, most vegetarians. At least most I know of. Aren't people who also dismiss any products made from/with animals pretty much the definition of vegans?

If you actually want to see how low some people have fallen, check out the quick hits from the recent Values Voter Summit.

That'll kill your faith in humanity real quick.
