xbox 360 controller fits comfortably and smooth. though I hate the triggers. ps3/2 controller is probably the best overall.

SNES. The first time I played an SNES, I used the controller upside down. As a child, I never could use the controller the regular way - only upside down. Did damn well with it too. The next in line is definitely the N64 controller. It was the first system that was actually mine, and I loved it. Still have the system, still love it, still use it.

Hmm, I'd have to go with ps2, Gamecube and n64. Only reason n64 is one of those if because of the wounds it inflicted on my palms as a kid. D:

Those controllers have terrible joysticks, a stupidly hard layout so its hard to even hold the controller let alone play some of the titles on the system, and cheap Japanese buttons that break easily from games like Mario Party.

In my opinion Gamecube controllers are beyond the most comfortable next to the Sega Saturn.

I like the PlayStation 2 controller the most, and specifically PlayStation 2 and not the original or PlayStation 3; the back L2 and R2 buttons are so sensible. I can't seem to get any response out of the new trigger-type buttons unless I really smash them.

Heh, spinning that Shy Guy is just so fun though... After so long of playing this, I kind of developed a way to rotate it without completely burning a hole in my palm, but I definitely went through this same pain. I really like the N64 controllers actually and didn't have any trouble accessing any of the buttons, but I still think PlayStation 2 is the best.

Did anyone actually hold the N64 controller by grasping the 2 outer most handles? At any rate that controller design made no sense at all.

The most comfortable controller to me would be the xbox 360 controller. The joysticks and buttons could be made a little better, but the design is the best for me.
