Well, I'd say Red Steel is an amazing Shooter. Utilizes sword fights into boss battles. Its pretty fun. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn was amazing. Animal Crossing City Folk (though its childish) is a good RPG. Elebits is great if you've ever dreamed of destroying everything in a house or amuzement park or neighborhood.
But before you get those get the obvious good games (Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Metroid Prime 3, Warioware, etc.)

Pretty much what every one is telling you to get, and since you like action you should try out No More Heroes and the new Mad World, if you don't mind excessive gore and profanity. Also, keep an eye out for the shooter The Conduit, it looks promising for a Wii game.
