So what they are saying is, killing black people is racist, but killing white people isn't.
No, I think the point is, people are so used to killing white people in other games that now that someone has made a game where you primarily kill African people, it's a major eye-opener.
I don't believe CAPCOM had the intention to make it feel racist. It's just that societies mind set these days just makes us jump to conclusions pretty fast.
I mean, there are going to be worst games that are going to give a bad impression too. Like..umm Turning Point: Fall of Liberty that's going to come out soon. Compare that to RE5 ;\
Seriously, it's just a game. And if people get offended they have no reason to. They're developed to keep us entertained, not to get us all in depth about "hidden messages" behind the ethnicities and crap like that.
Besides, where's a better place to harvest a virus? Africa. ;\
Why would this be racist?
Killing black zombies is just as bad as killing any race of zombies.
Race doesn't matter in a game like that.
If people say "well they are black," so what?
No one complained when RE4 came out with its killing of the spanish.
Plus people want to play a game with zombie killing action, regardless of the race.
If it's a disease that resembles AIDS, what will you idiots say then?
Err nothing, because every virus in resident evil so far has been spread through blood or the air and killed the host inside except 4 where they were parasites.
It's not. Squeek's point is that by standing up now, after games have been produced exclusively killing other races, and saying that this is racist is hypocritical because a big deal wasn't made of other races. This is, of course, racist, and a completely valid point.
The fact that he assumes those people want to kill whites (or another race) INSTEAD of blacks is a slippery slope. You can very much defend the article and want to kill both blacks and whites equally. And you'd still be racist too. Ho-hum.

Fine. Sheesh.
The fact is, they don't want the game to be solely about killing black people. That pretty much means they either don't want the game to exist at all (which I see no mention of) or they want it to be some other race.
