Super Metroid is a completely original game. The only "remake" is Zero Mission, which is based on the original Metroid for NES.

Oh, but they do have spoilers in them. So uh... once they start talking about the bosses in video 2 (Super Metroid's video), I'd stop watching if you don't want it spoiled.

I am currently playing Zero Mission on hard to beat it with 100% items in less than 2 hours. Right now I'm at at 98% items, Mecha-Ridley, and I have 1:27:09 on my time. I'm just about there.

I have it from a very reliable source (my Wii) that Super Metroid will be available for the Virtual Console starting August 20th.

Nintendo also announced they'd be putting out Metroid and Super Metroid on the Virtual Console before Metroid Prime 3 hits on the 27th.

Not interested in re-playing those again, but I do have Corruption pre-ordered and set to arrive on my doorstep on the morning of the 27th. =D

i was really funny when the people of IGN made an article about the anti-hype of metroid prime 3, and the next day nintendo send a new mini-channel for metroid.

ok i better don't watch the retrospective since i didn't even play metroid 2 jajaja

where it says, more videos on august 13th, well correct me if im wrong but it says the game will be on stores on august 28th.

i shouldnt have played my 360 before i watched it (FEAR btw). The graphics look halfway decent for next gen, but yes it is a step above gamecube graphics, but gameplay looks interesting, im probably going to love the gameplay, assuming i'm not swept away by Warhawk or Bioshock

the graphics yeah are very impressive for a wii game. the gameplay will be stunning. maybe the next shooter games for the wii will follow this game, (and umbrella chronicles of course)

correction, today we see more videos.

i don't know what does this aurora has to do with the story of the game but i guess is something important

and the spider ball well, it looks faster than the other metroids.
