        RPG: Diablo series (diablo 2 exp pwns all!)
        Shooter: Half-Life Series or Battlefield Series
        Puzzle: Riven
        MMORPG: Free- Guildwars : Payed: World of Warcraft
        RTS: Command and Conquer Series
        God Games: Sims Series (great for snagging the attention of your GF into getting off your case for playing comp games all the time)

        Ill toss in Mechawarrior and Black and White as must haves aswell
