Man this game is so meh. First I had trouble getting the thing to run without lagging, then it lags so bad I want to quit. I then literally spend 10 mintues walking to a base on to get hs by an enemy nearby.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. My current video card sucks really badly and my parents aren't going to chip in, so that's my budget. As long as it's not total crap like the one I have now I'm perfectly fine.

Sounds like you were on foot. As a general rule, it is horrible to go on foot in wide-open spaces. Doing so opens you up to enemy vehicle fire and long-range infantry fire.

((Also, there are no "head shots" in Planetside. Due to its being MMO, each avatar only has 1 hitbox, making every shot hit-or-miss (aside from things that go "boom"). If you want to stay alive longer, always keep your health and armor as high as possible. If an enemy sees you with lower health/armor, they will target you specifically.))

You should probably spend 1 certification point in ATV. That way, you always have quick, relatively safe transportation to go from place to place.

About your "lag" problems: Is it framerate lag or server lag? If the problem is on your end, there's not much the game can do about it.

Rofl, for my certification points I had two so I decide to jack around and get the beefy exo suit with ground vehicle upgrade. Ooooohhh **** man, that thing was nuts. If you disable the weapons system the thing literally speeds across areas. So there was a huge war somewhere...(Noah will know the name of the base when he reads this) and I would just rocket away down the tunnel where they were all stationed at.....Good ****. I <3 this game now rofl.

I was Rear Gunner of a Liberator, and it was a BLAST. Seriously, it was sooooo f*cking fun.

I knifed somebody in my cloak suit.....IN THEIR BASE.....WITH ABOUT 10 PEOPLE WATCHING AND A TANK IN FRONT OF ME LOOKING AT THE GUY I WAS KNIFING!


In other words: I have done all that can be done in this game for me. Aside from it lagging like a bitch if I try to fly anywhere near anybody else, it's alright. Just....really sucks if you don't have certs. =\

Glad to see that people are still interested in PlanetSide. I joined shortly after release, like Jonathan7, but left shortly after they introduced BattleFrame Robotics (BFRs) to pursue other endeavors. I was worried that the game was running with a skeleton crew for a while, but the current dev team seems to be earnestly trying to listen to player feedback on balance issues and whatnot.

Never really saw this game, and look at the screen you posted. But I want to see the video first to see if i'm REALLY intrested cuz` I don't feel like stopping my torrents. BUT I can't cuase to many people are downloading the WOW 1.11 Patch. Anyone willing to share it?

They just released a new patch today. They got a new vehicle out.

Basically, it's an anti-aircraft version of the Mosquito. You'll have to see for yourself, but it's pretty nice.

The level cap for free memberships is annoying. I've hit the highest level I'll ever get and knowing that makes me not want to play, cuz I can't get more stuff. =\

You could always go for a higher command rank.

Invite some people to a squad, and get everyone (including yourself) to attack the same base.

When it's captured, you'll receive Command Experience Points (CEP) instead of Battle Experience Points (BEP). It takes 10,000 CEP to get to CR1, and I think it's something like 30,000 CEP for CR2.

CR2 is the highest possible for Reserves accounts.
