Listen, this is the answer to all statements about problems with the PSP: Sony knows that they will sell enough even with the malfunctions to make more money than if they invested more work into it to make it better.

We should get Q in here to explain this, as I'm not too great at economics, but basically, the cost of making the PSP better is much greater than the cost of putting the PSP out with known problems and the income from the PSP will be high no matter what.

...unless it meets the same fate as N-Gage, which Nokia attributes to "poor marketing". We know that's not the case, however. Still, Sony is not doing a very good job marketing the PSP, and all the publicity that the flaws are getting is not helping it.

        Uh hey

The Gamecube controller is a randomly designed piece of shit, IMO.

There's a reason every single joypad manufacturer for the computer has modelled theirs after the Dualshock 2.

Thank you Anti. All the GC controller is is a slightly better N64 controller. It has the exact same buttons, I'm pretty sure, but it's not made for some sort of freakish 3-handed guy like the N64 controller is. The SNES controller was the best thing Nintendo ever had, and I bet the original PS controllers were modelled after it. Then Nintendo tried to be different and creative and made that horrid piece of crap that is the N64 controller. They made it a lil less freakish for the GC, but it's still the same junk.

And I wouldn't say they intentionally made the square button off, it was just a flaw and they don't wanna sound stupid so they say it's awesome and it oughta be like that. Excuses excuses.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

of course the N64 paved the way for every controller seen today: the analog stick. but yeah, it was real strange when you had to use the analog and the d-pad for games. but usually you only had to use the analog, and then it was quite comfortable to me. I like the playstation controller, although my favorite still is the gamecube, but then again i'm most comfortable with it....so that's probably not a coincidence

Read again what Kutaragi said. It was intentional.
