Everyone in the room was dead quiet. All eyes were on Hakulyte. He had been chosen to be lynched for the day.

Jade eyed him appraisingly.

Hakulyte quickly turned back towards the group. "You're wrong. I'm the Mysterious Variable X. I'm not who you're looking for!"

Hakulyte, who always seemed so calm and detached, looked desperate near the end.

Jade raises her hand and points her palm towards Hakulyte. The cold sweat runs down his forehead. Suddenly he turns to run away.

A black circle appeared where Haku's arm was. It disappeared just as suddenly. Every part of the arm that had been covered by the circle was gone.

Haku screamed in pain and clutched what remained of his arm.

Pop. Pop. Pop. The circles kept appearing and disappearing, eating away more of Haku's body. Suddenly, Jade closed her palm into a fist. A gigantic circle appeared and completely covered Haku. People near where he stood cowered away in fear.

POP.

And there was nothing left of Haku.

Jade turned towards the group and gave a curtsy. After raising her head, she told them with a smile that Hakulyte...
