    Re: TWG LXV Host Signups

You guys have bad tendency to make these threads while I'm in class:

    14 Players

    3 Blues-
    Guardian, Seer, Elemental

    3 Wolves -
Master Wolf, Lone Wolf, Wolf Elemental

    3 Specials-
    Medic, Anti-Medic, Red Miller

    5 Regular Humans

    The stuff:

Human Elemental: Powers: 1 vigi, 1 guard, 1 seer.

Wolf Elemental: Power: 1 vigi (fails if used on Lone Wolf) 1 guard, 1 seer (if seers Lone Wolf comes back as Lone Wolf).

Medic: Power: Night 1 picks which side they want to fight for, revives one person each night.

Anti-Medic: Power: Picks pne person to stop from reviving. Gets the opposite team as the Medic.

    Red Miller: Power: Duh...

    Special Stuff/ Rules:
The Lone Wolf picks a person to kill, just like the regular wolves. The LW has a 30% chance of its kill succeeding over the regular wolves.

I actually like both games from rzr and Mak ... but Mak's sounds less confusing (if you ignore all of the Fiction posts ... pahah).

Mine's intended to be fairly simple, actually, despite all the item confusion.

Well, I could give the medic to one side right away and the anti-medic the other. Discuss? Do we like? I wasn't planning on competing with Mak, but the junior sign-ups aren't open yet... Anyway, just tell me what you would like more.

Actually, I like the idea that the Medic chooses which side to go to. This way, the anti-Medic indirectly obtains information of which side the Medic chose, and has to find a way to get this information out to the public (if the Medic sided with the wolves) without revealing his own role.

edit: also, what would be the seering results on the Medic and anti-Medic?

            Be efficient.

Hmmm... Well, it'd be cool to make it purple because they wouldn't know whom they were seering, but I can assign the color to the appropriate side they're given/choose.

                that's game architecture.

games where people 'choose' what side they're on seem attractive just because people like the idea of 'choosing' who to help. You're never going to 'choose,' really. You're just going to go towards the end that'll give you an easier win. i.e the one where you perform the least. The medic would do best to choose to help the wolves because it'll be easier. It's a matter of gaining some random human's trust and reviving a fallen wolf as a special role once one is actually dead. Circumstances may vary, but that's pretty much what it'd come down to. The anti-medic doesn't get any info at all other than the fact that he's been put in a team - so what if he knows what the medic chose? He can't do anything about it.

Either way, the flaw in rzr's game is essentially in the medic roles. The Anti-medic will be essentially useless because the chances of actually preventing a resurrection will be 1/22 on night two prior to the wolf killing. Not to mention that having 2 vigis and essentially unlimited resurrections may hinder the general order of each phase. # of wolves >= # of humans after lynch to win. Say the # of wolves = # of humans after a wolfing due to the possibility of an even number of kills on a night phase. Game becomes broken due the possibility of unnecessary prolonging.

                3w v 3h day phase.
                2w v 3h night phase.
                2w v 2h day phase
                1w v 1h night phase.

                whoops.

                  Re: TWG LXV Host Signups

Seems like FL and Xception would like to see me put the medic with the humans, and the anti-with the wolves. But Kirth likes the other way...? Well, I'd love to hear more thought on this.

Oh, and I forgot to say, the theme will be TWG: Under The Iraqi Sky and be first-person.

                    TWG: The Hundred Years War

Backstory: The humans are fed up with this crap. Who do these wolves think they are, rampaging around THEIR villages and murdering THEIR people? Well, the humans have had enough. The ultimate minds have come together to devise a way to finish off those damned wolves once and for all.

However, the wolves are always one step ahead. They too have collaborated with one another to plot the humans final downfall. This is the war to end it all, the war that will finally decide who lives and who dies.

Special Events: This game will span "multiple generations", with each new generation seeing more and more advanced units. Fourteen people start the game. Each phase after night 2, two players will join the game until there are no more players left to send in.

The player setup is as follows:

16 player minimum; 20 player maximum

                    Roles in Generation One:
                    7 Humans

                    3 Special Humans
                    1 Seer
                    1 Guardian
                    1 Psychic

                    4 Wolves
                    1 Master Wolf
                    1 Wolf Seer
                    2 Wolves

                    Subsequent Generation Roles:
1 Hunter- If wolfed, 50% chance that a random wolf will die on the same night. Seers green to humans, blue to wolves.

1 Wolf Tamer- Cannot be wolved, but seers red to human seer, and any day votes towards this person count one and a half times. (ie: If three people vote for this person, they have 4.5 votes instead of 3.) Seers Green to wolf seer.

1 Soulmaster- Can revive a player each night, but must take the life of another green or blue in order to do so. If the Soulmaster selects a wolf to sacrifice, the Soulmaster themselves will be sacrificed instead Seers blue to all seers.

1 Ninja- Can vote to kill any one player each night. If seered, a different player will be seered instead, at random.

2 Wolf Spies- Once per game, the player may PM the host requesting the role of one player. There is a 100% chance that the role returns correctly. Seers green to Human Seer and red to Wolf Seer (Does this even need to be said?).

Sounds more complicated then it really is.

14 people start right away, the others wait until they are called upon to join the game. The people who must wait are more advanced than the others. Then the game plays out from there.

Whoa I like Gamer's game, but I don't like the whole Wolf Spy role.

50% that it'll return correctly? That sounds dumb to me ... virtually makes the role useless considering you can't trust it at all...

It'd be less weird for me if it didn't have the more advanced roles come in later in the game. But I've already got my own game idea, so I can't vote.

Should I make it surefire and only have it done once? I thought a surefire role return would make it too much like a seer.

BTW I made this game up on the fly as I was looking at this thread. Damn I love this game. =D
