Definitely not interested in another anon game. Let's keep it a bit more traditional.

my point is countries is perfectly fine as a theme and to give in a PM, but making everyone be the country in the thread is unnecessary

I like the Anon aspect! I had a lot of fun with my ~persona~ last game. but if nobody else is interested and it's just going to be another lack-of-activity-fest, then it's probably best not to do it.

If that's the case, then im not sure what use pm'ing everyone a country is then... like guessing for a kill would be useless really... ya know what I mean?

it's a theme, it adds flavour. that's what it is on every other site, there is a theme and you have that character or w/e it is, but you don't get an account for that. some sites even have a you can't claim your character/country/whatever rule in some games. and I didn't know there was guessing for a kill in this game

I mean, maybe. Posting in the thread takes effort. People aren't active because it's easier to participate on AIM, people aren't active because they lose interest - and it's a shame. We assume that when we lost interest people who are might figure out who the wolves are (wolves are always interested unless they're afk - last game kind of makes a point of this) but that only complicates things because wolves could just as easily not be active and let humans cannibalize themselves.

Basically, you need to sustain interest over time and unfortunately that's not up to the host. Some mechanics help, yeah, like the poker game.. or the judge game. Even the RPS format because teams are much smaller. But yeah, it's hard.

the best way to learn how to play TWG is forget you're playing TWG and assume everyone is an asshole and that they don't deserve to live or talk or anything. Once you let someone hold your hand you are theirs.

it looks like games close to standard setups are the most active, I mean look at game 99 day 1 that was fantastic. this game isn't too complicated and is fairly basic with some added interesting elements, like head of UN is similar to electing the judge in that judge game, but again because the game is a theme doesn't mean it has to be outed to everyone.

                          JudgeTWiG

Two day cycles, one night cycle

Day part 1: vote to elect a judge who will perform the lynch
Day part 2: lobby the judge to lynch a player
                          Night: night

                          12 players
2 wolves (seer red), 1 wolf lawyer (seers blue)
                          1 human lawyer (seers blue)
                          1 seer
                          7 green

                          48hr day cycles (flexible)
                          24hr night

                          Lawyers have double voting power
                          Insta-judge election active
Judge lynching a player ends the second day phase

I think there was some discussion about lawyers not being used at all? But I like the idea of electing someone to make decisions for everyone.

                          -----

                          PokerTWiG

                          12 PLAYERS
2 SEERWOLF (CALLED SCOFFLAWS FOR THEME)
1 WOLVES (CALLED BANDIT FOR THEME)
2 WIZARDS (CALLED SHERIFFS FOR THEME)
                          7 PIONEERS
                          CARDFLIPPIN' (PUN INTENDED)

THE WOLF TEAM HAS TO DECIDE ONE PERSON TO MAKE THE KILL EACH NIGHT. IF THE SHERIFF "JAILS" THEM THE KILL FAILS.

PLAYERS ARE DEALT HANDS OF TWO CARDS, EVERY DAY PHASE ONE SHARED CARD GETS REVEALED (TEXAS HOLD 'EM BUT SLOWER.) THE PLAYER WITH THE STRONGEST HAND STEALS THE VOTE OF THE PERSON SHE IS VOTING FOR MAKING HER VOTE WORTH TWO. (VICCICA VOTES FOR ALAIN, ALAIN VOTES FOR VICCICA, VICCICA HAS PAIR OF ACES, ALAIN HAS A PAIR OF VOTES.)

                          This was an awesome game.
