Anyone intending to continue the whole thing?
Some new makers, in a time when Stepmania is kinda dying, is a good idea.

I mean dying because the only thing that keeps players' attention is Xoon packs. And well... some files just suck, imo.

not every file will be for you in xoon 4. i did keep a minimum standard and most files respect a certain structure. i could name you all the best files off the top of my head and it wouldn't be a very long list

Kommi, I meant some files, didn't played all files from Xoon 4, but the ones I played, the best still is Champion Freeverse. That file is fun, and still onsync. Different from Eruption, that is "technically correct" but, OH WOW, it just sucks, in my honest opinion. I prefer the old version.

What I want to mean is: what about bring some oldschool style back, making fun files? Games were meant to be fun, not a "Hall of Fame for Technical Madness", where every little sound receives a step, a jump, or even hands, if there's over 9000 sounds at the same time.

That's the reason I think this thread is a good idea. I admit that I'm a bad maker, i don't even have any file submitted to any pack, but I want to be at least a good maker, and some advice from vets is surely welcome. All for keeping Stepmania "alive".

Packs like KBC3 and SMG2, where files are kinda hard and well-made, but fun, are a good example of what I'm talking about.
