k this is wat the forum said "Download XStep, I trust you can find it or you probably already have it. Open it up and plug the song name, author, bpm, gap, and all that information stuff in. Export it to DWI in the folder of your choice and you have the information for your song set up. Now you are ready to begin editing... Go to Stepmania and use SMs built in editor (edit/sync songs) and ya i have mac and the xstep is only for windows can i still make a stepfile without the xstep and i have world notepad and everytime i save the dwi file it always puts ".wbn after .dwi for ex .dwi.wbn" and everytime i delete the .wbn it keeps comming back is their anyway to get rid of it for good or will the dwi still work for the simfile?

as a general rule on these boards... people will not respect you at all if you do not type with proper spelling and grammar. so, yea... please start typing properly instead of l33t int3rn3ts d00d sp34k.

k i dont really pay attention to my spelling. and im 15 and i could make great simfiles. the other simfiles i uploaded was'nt my simfile "well it was mine but i edited another simfile and that so ya. and Stop being so harsh

If you want more respect, you'll need to use more grammar, which includes things like capital letters at the beginning of sentences.

Ooook thank you well i figured out how to make a stepfile. Yay a stepfile made from scrap and by me im gunna upload it once im done fixing it up. And i was wondering when it gets uploaded can u play it and tell me if it is better than the other ones i uploaded? I would really appreciate it and leave a comment telling me if it's better than the other ones.

Patashu's easy, simple test for telling if a simfile is crap or not

1. Turn Assist tick on, turn autoplay on
2. Play the song and listen

If the ticks sync up with the music's rhythm, melody and beat, you've got it made. It might not be good but you can be certain it's playable.
