I think there are alot of newcomers that would enjoy some soft and flowy pieces like nocturnes or waltzes! Just remember you can make an easy file fun and enjoyable by adding in some surprises here and there, don't just bum it. There are alot of voices in easier sounding pieces that can be brought out in your steps.

Btw any of the concert etudes would be cool! Um sospiro is especially nice! Gnomenreigen is also a really good idea.

Cut to a more reasonable length and without the runningman at the end, that nocturne could be a decent introduction file. Who knows, maybe it will still be too boring.

Whatever you do don't give up on making files!! I am looking forward to seeing some nice classical files from you! I think you should concentrate on stepping more difficult files though! The more difficult, the more possibilities there are for you. Clearly the step file reviewers are interested in this. If you want I could compile some harder pieces! I am sure you know of a good amount though! Step pieces you enjoy and you will step good files.

Good advice if I've ever heard it. :P I might have the Liebeslied done by friday, at the rate I'm going. It's a much more technical file. XD I was also thinking of doing Ravel's La Gaspard de la Nuit, of which mvt. III is one of the hardest pieces in the repertoire.
