And If you're gonna do a review at least try to be a little more open-minded? because our intentions were not so that each file is synced to perfection but the idea was to get it to match the rythm as close as possible.

This is not the FFR Batch, you're not even a judge. Do you have any files in the game? No.

So before you start pre-determining crap maybe you should look on the bright side of this pack's purpose, to have fun. We cannot stretch that enough, nothing more and nothing less.

How good a stepfile is, is a pretty subjective thing. You can't tell someone they did something wrong because that's not how you would have done it or that isn't how you think it should be. You can't bash a file for the lack of originality or creativity. All of you people who think you are the shi"t at making simfiles need to get off your high horse and screw off. It isn't something you want to be an elitest dick about.

I understand the motive but what ticked me off was Gundam's "I'm not gonna play this it's probably gonna suck" post because that's just plain ignorant.

dumps are rarely fun to play

In my point of view you can't really judge your opinion based on the first few songs you tried out then just assume that the others are crap, right?

if 7-8 files in a pack suck then chances are the rest are going to suck too

I agree some songs are poorly stepped and this was our first pack so I can't really ignore that fact.

saying that its your first pack is no excuse for having poorly stepped files. there's a sticky that explains what you should take into consideration when making a pack but apparently i once again had high expectations for you.




also saying the pack is only for fun right after being told the pack sucked is like drawing a ****ty picture and calling it abstract art

Packs and/or threads like this are the reason why I think 4-panel sucks. Nothing against you Guru, but:

1.) Dump files are retarded and the advocated their creations are just dumb.
2.) They aren't masterful in anyway whatsoever.
3.) I like playing accurate files. This is why I play Solo all the time and play 4-panel almost never.
4.) Listen to any Dark Chancellor in this thread because they are telling you how it is.

You're right about one thing, accurate files are fun because they make more sense. Most people dont like playing dumps because it depicts the song's "true rhythmic pattern" but we still went ahead and combined all our files on this pack knowing that fact because because other people would enjoy playing them. (Take midare's megapacks for example) We already knew most of these would get a bad assessment, in fact it was already pre-meditated. We're not looking at accurate stepping, no. If we wanted that we would have made way better files than the ones in this pack. Charts that actually follow the beat note by note without adding any extra color notes. We didn't want this to be a "Dark Chancellors" pack at all and if you were to compare both, if that that was the case then yes these files do suck but that wasn't our plan. I agree with everything you're saying but with a different perspective know what I mean?
