I love how the term 'dumpfile' is overloaded so that it can mean two diametric opposites at once (utter technical stepping of every noise in the song vs utterly random placement of notes over a song)

so keyboard files are accpeted, and pad files are accepted too, and the people who are judging have experience in beatmania, itg, guitar hero! great!

i think i'm participating because this will give me the will to finish one file of mine but the organization here is a total disaster. how is guitar hero relevant to stepmania. how can you compare keyboard files and pad files. come on.

If it doesn't end well, I'll learn from it and will use what I learned to make any other contests I host better. Keep in mind that this is only my first contest I've ever hosted and am not expecting it to be perfect.

Exactly the reason why I won't be submitting. KB and pad files are eligible for the $100 prize, which I find to be really dumb. Sorry.

This is extremely unorganized, and the judges are people that apparently nobody knows, which means someone like Necros/Kommisar/Patashu can argue about how they don't know how to judge a KB chart, and then someone like Zero/Oni/me can argue about them not knowing how to judge a pad chart.

$100 isn't going to convince me into this kind of a contest.

Ok, Fair enough.
To be honest, my original intention was to only create another stepmania community for people to submit simfiles for stepmania song packs (which this contest still is). I figured I'd make things more interesting and throw in a prize completely disregarding the fact that there would be people out there that would take this too seriously.
I'm not begging for people to participate, but keep in mind that nobody has anything to lose.
Thank you for opinion, I'll take it as advice.

guys leave cobalt or wateva his name is alone lol. It doesn't take a genius to judge a song (though if it was me I'd only accept KB charts) sure it won't be judged perfectly, but obviously the best by his standards will get the 100 dollar prize and thats fine by me.

I'm going to participate to help you out. I love rock/metal so I shouldnt have any problem with this.

PS: are you allowed to submit more than one file?
