I remember my first DDR game...twas years ago and was DDR Konomix. Other then that, Id be inclined to say that Max 2 was my favorite of the bunch thus far.

My first DDR expirience was the third mix for PS1 with a soft pad.
I still remember my days owning Captain Jack in Easy.

I now own SuperNova for PS2 but have never really played it since I don't have a dance pad. I've been thinking on buying Max2 and editing some songs for my homies though.

Now I just go to arcades. It's much more social and expensive. It makes me look posh.

Yes I agree. I love the arcade version. But the arcade I go to, changed the game to the First mix!!!! I hate it. The only good songs are dynamite rave and afronova.

But yes all the songs on Max2 are awesome so if you ever want to start playing DDR. Get it, heck if you don't have it get it now!!!

I only have the US DDR Extreme. It's okay, but there's so many licensed songs. It would be better for me if I had an EyeToy.

Personally, I liked max 2 and extreme 2.

But, ITG for the PS2 is really much better than DDR.

For DDR: go with Max 2, because it's got some amazing songs on it, but then again I like Supernova just because it's got much more harder song and I'm still trying to AA Chaos on Challenge. I would buy both, but if you're limited on money, get Max 2. Even though I have every american DDR for the Ps2, I like Max 2 and Supernova the best.

Also, I'd say get ITG (In the Groove). Even though you have to unlock the songs like DDR, It's such an amazing Rhythm Dance game, So many Difficult songs (Pandemonium), so many fun songs (No1 Nation), and it's got so many catchy fast songs (Vertex). Buy it.

EDIT: Also, get a good dance pad without the bar. The come really cheap, My cousin just got a really sweet dance pad for only 40 bucks. Then again, you could also get a really good metal pad without the bar like this one----

DDR Max, Max 2, and Extreme 2 were good, though I really didn't like the starting song choices they made for Supernova 2.
