As for being ripped off, DDR was released before PIU, by about 3 months. That's not nearly enough time to create the whole entire awesome PIU game, but DDR certainly could do that in that time frame because they didn't make anything unique about themselve, besides there's nothing DDR has to add, because its going to be worse than PIU ALWAYS.

Seriously PIU is unique, its recognizable. As for a stupid DDR, just by looking at it (not the name) you wouldnt know if its an ITG or DDR.

Now onto my next point, anyone can easily master any song on expert or whatever it's called, why because only 4 arrows, and you have 2 feet (hopefully) which means 2 arrows for each foot, plus you can easily put one foot on 2 arrows at once= mashing. Therefore, no skill for DDR is required to get a FC on the hardest song they ever think of making.

lmao in my life of DDR I have yet to EVER see someone put two feet on the same arrow...and diffulculty means nothing in terms of good games, I mean generally some people have LIVES and don't wanna devote years just to be good at a game and just wanna walk in, turn the thing on, play casually and go to bed knowing there not a complete nerd.

I think that Pump It Up is a great game and deserves the attention it's getting, but the primary reason that I don't like it is the fact that the center pad throws me off just about every time.

Also, I don't know, I just like the DDR soundtrack better than PIU. I'm not sure if it's up to date or not, but most of the PIU songs at GattiLand are based around the rock genre, and it gets on my nerves to scroll through 100x songs of guitar riffs. DDR/ITG have a genre variety that fits me.

A very little issue: The PIU at Main Event is mostly in Japanese = (.

The wrap-up: I like DDR better.

I would have to vote for PIU, because DDR is such an old school thing now. If you really want enhance your skill level and have better stamina, I would pick PIU. DDR would be way much easier if you have stamina and PIU is a great stamina building, because you twist your body a lot more in PIU, and it helped me train my legs to do cross overs now, so DDR has nothing over PIU.

P.S. PIU actually has a better music selection, just like ITG. DDR is WAY to upbeat and gets boring after a while.

Must I say it again? I think the best way to do it is like this,
DDR- Good for average players
PIU/ITG- Good for more "serious" platers

Ok, for one its called Exceed people, piu is a version of it, and It's more difficult than ddr so if you play for challenge than it wins, for song choice of course ddr wins, it comes down to what u like more alot of ddr'ers hate exceed, because of the 5th step. In anycase i'd consider it a tie ddr for song choice exceed for skill.
