Songs of the Week (Mar 19, 2015)

Re: Songs of the Week (Mar 19, 2015)

Please make a thread in this subforum to contest a song's difficulty!

" Comment on this week’s songs in this thread." -as read on the front page

I came here to comment on the song here, not anywhere else because I was told to come here

I feel like my comment should be as valid here as it would be if I was to make a separate thread
especially if I was guided here to make such a comment

The Contested Difficulties subforum has been relatively forgotten about as of late. The point was to bring that subforum back to light so it can be put to use again; it has nothing to do with putting you on the spot. If you read the threads in that subforum, they're basically describing the same sort of criticisms on a particular file, just like your post was.

I think guiding the attention here initially is not a bad idea, given that the songs are just released. Besides, the front page post does call for it and these thoughts aren't exactly formal/detailed thoughts.

Songs really shouldn't be considered "contested" right out of the gates if an obvious (but overseen, since DCs see files all the time, it's quite easy to overlook things) mistake/change causes them to be ranked a bit difficulty, because it's not necessarily contested at that point; it's just known and easily confirmed as a mistake.

I think the reason why it's a 44 is to symbolize the artist $44,000. I'm ok with hidden difficulties tbh, since I see it a lot in DDR!
