Tools->Internet Options->Security->Uncheck Enable Protected Mode.
Then log in with Internet Explorer and ask it to remember and save your password. Standalone should then recognize your login.

(I'd suggest rechecking "Enable Protected Mode" once you're done)

//ninja'd You have to open IE, go to your internet options, turn off Enable Secure Browsing (uncheck the box), then go to the site, log in and click the remember me box, and boom. Done.

Also: I just recently started having issues with Skype lagging my standalone, don't just close the window if you use it, try actually quitting while you play.

Windows Classic theme works wonders if you aren't already using it.

Windows classic theme helps. But it might just be your computer. System restore, if you lose all hope. I had to do it but now I can get good scores. c: Yay!

Basically deletes everything you ever did on your computer, restores it to factory condition as if you just bought it brand new. You have to re-install whatever you need such as virus protection..I'd suggest saving any programs, music, photos, videos you'd like to keep.

What Bethany described is reformatting your computer. If you're talking about the 'System Restore' program in accessories, that's something different. It basically 'resets' your computer back to the way it was at another point in time. From what I know, it doesn't actually reset EVERYTHING; it more or less only affects programs you installed, your registry, and all that good stuff.

When you install programs (or windows updates), your computer creates a 'Restore Point' so that if something goes wrong you can go back to where you were. You basically just choose a restore point and tell it to go back to then.

tried using system restore on 3 different restore points, didn't do anything except make it so my firefox won't ever work, even when I re download it. I probably need a new computer, I really hope that isn't the case because I'm poor as hell. I got this computer for free though. I really hope I can fix it, I was just starting to AAA master songs and such

Edit: does anybody know how to optimize my bandwith or get to it to begin with?
